Children's events

We run the following free drop-in events for young children:

  • Rhymetime: Tuesdays 10am - 10:30am (Under 5s)
  • Wiggle & Jiggle: Thursdays 11am - 11:30am (Under 5s)
  • Craftytime: Fridays 3.45pm - 4.30pm (5-7 year olds)
  • Rock and Rhyme: Saturdays 10am - 10.30am (Under 5s)
  • Story and craft: Saturdays 3pm-4pm (Under 8s)

Reading group

Coulsdon Library / Community Reading Group for adults, meets every fourth Thursday in the month at 7pm at the Comrades Club, Brighton Road, Coulsdon (opposite the library). For further details please contact the library.

Knit & Stitch

Bring your latest knitting or sewing project along to our knit & stitch group - meeting fortnightly on a Monday 10:30am - 12:00noon. Please check the events calendar or enquire for specific dates.

IT Sessions

The library offer free one-to-one IT help sessions on Saturdays to help you gain confidence in areas such as sending and receiving emails, browsing the internet, uploading/downloading pictures and files, using your iPad/tablet and anything else we're able to help you with. Each session is an hour long and needs to be booked in advance.

Ancestry Sessions

The library computers have free access to Ancestry Library Edition and we run free one-to-one taster sessions on the 3rd Monday of every month from 2:00 - 3:00 and 3:00 - 4:00 pm. These sessions are facilitated by a local genaeologist and member of The Bourne Society. They are on a first come first served basis so please contact the library in advance if you would like to book one.

Food waste bags

The food waste bags are now priced at £5.99 for 100.

You can now buy these from all Croydon Libraries.

Green waste bags

You can now buy these from all Croydon Libraries. We sell them for £1 each.

Our display boards are available for use free of charge to advertise your club or society.
