Inter Library Loans

Inter library loans service At the library we can find most books for you, even if we don't have them in any of our local libraries.

Our inter library loans service allows us to search in public libraries nationwide. Just ask a member of staff to help you find what you're looking for.

We can also request photocopies from serials and periodicals that might interest you but remember that because of copyright restrictions we cannot request a photocopy of more than one article from the same volume. When this happens we try to request the whole volume for you to look at.

The more details you give to us, the easier and quicker we can get what you need to you.

For a list of current charges please see the Library Charges page.

If you are unable to visit or phone the library you can request an inter library loan by using the online catalogue. You will need your library card and password to log in to your account and do this, and then use the suggestions/order form to submit your request. Alternatively you can send an email with the details of the item to your local library. Please note that we may need to contact you before we can proceed with your request.

If the item you want is available from a London Borough of Croydon library but out on loan, then we can reserve it for you
