You can use the Online Catalogue to find out whether our libraries hold particular books, CDs, videos, talking books and DVDs. However, you will have to email us to find out which libraries hold particular newspapers and magazines.
You can renew the loan of any library item, providing:
it has not been reserved by another library member
you have not already renewed it five times. If so, you will have to bring it into a Croydon library before we can issue it to you again.
You can Renew Items Online before or on the date they are due back. You will be given a new due date. Please write the new dates on the date label of each item.
There is no charge for renewing books, however, if you renew an item after its due date you will have to pay overdue charges. If you return a video, DVD, talking tape or CD after its due date, you have to pay another hire charge.
If you can find an item on the library catalogue, you can Reserve It Online. See the library charges for more information. If you make a request for a periodical article, there will be an additional charge for photocopying.
We will do our very best to supply your request as soon as possible. However, we can't guarantee the arrival date.
If the item is on the shelf in another branch library and you would like to travel there yourself to pick it up, we can ask for it to be put aside for you.
If you are a library member with a membership card and PIN you can use this service.
